(Patria) - In the current extraordinary global situation regarding the spread of the coronavirus, the current health status of the cadets of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are undergoing military training abroad, is good.

The situation by country as of March 27, 2020, is as follows:

Republic of Croatia

On March 27, 2020, two cadets from the Croatian Military Academy (HVU) returned to BiH, with the consent of the military academy, because one cadet had a knee injury, and a procedure to terminate the training contract was initiated for the other cadet. Other cadets are in good health, and no one has health problems related to COVID 19.

United States of America

According to information from the Office of Defense Cooperation of the US Embassy in BiH (ODC), there are no changes in the training process for one cadet at West Point.

Training in the United Kingdom is proceeding normally. All students have been presented with a list of critical countries and will be sent to quarantine upon entering critical countries. The female cadet currently in the United Kingdom is in good health.

Federal Republic of Germany

All cadets are in good health. Classes are being conducted online continuously until April 19, 2020. On March 26, 2020, a formal certificate awarding ceremony for the "Officer's Letter" was held in Dresden at the "Offiziersshule des Heeres" Officer School, where our cadets (three male cadets and one female cadet) are located, which also serves as proof that the cadets have passed the main officer exam. The awarding ceremony was held in the premises of the Inspectorate, and due to the current pandemic, it was not possible to organize a ceremony.

Republic of Austria

All cadets have returned to BiH and are in good health, and they are adhering to the self-isolation instructions they received upon entering BiH.

Republic of Italy

Cadets in the Republic of Italy are also in good health. They are accommodated by the BiH military attaché in the Republic of Italy.

Republic of North Macedonia

All cadets undergoing training in North Macedonia have been sent home, i.e., returned to BiH, due to the suspension of classes from March 11 to March 25, 2020, based on the conclusion of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia dated March 10, 2020. All cadets are in good health.

Republic of Greece

All cadets are in quarantine and in good health. They will remain in isolation in quarantine until April 5, 2020. Starting March 30, 2020, classes will be conducted online.

Republic of Turkey

Since March 16, 2020, all military academies have been closed for entry and exit. The military attaché is in daily contact with cadet representatives and officers undergoing training and courses in the Republic of Turkey, and for now, there is no information that personnel will return to BiH. On March 26, 2020, cadets from the Air Force Military Academy in Istanbul were sent for examination at the military clinic and underwent examinations of their lungs, throat, blood pressure, and body temperature. All cadets are healthy and have no health problems. The health status of cadets at the KVA in Ankara is also good.
