Nijel Amos's coach fears Tuka: He was brilliant in Monaco, but that doesn't mean he will be at the World Championships

When Amel Tuka won the Diamond League in Monaco on July 17, overtaking Nijel Amos of Botswana right at the finish line, even he couldn't believe what had happened, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Immediately after the race, discussions began about whether Tuka is a threat to Amos at the upcoming World Championships in Beijing, which will be held from August 22 to 30.

We remind you that Tuka finished the race in 1:42:51, and Amos in 1:42:66. As can be seen in the post-race footage, Amos himself was shaking his head.

And while Tuka is showing his excellent form, as he proved in his races in Madrid and Monaco, Amos's coach Jean Verster said that the BH athlete was brilliant, but that doesn't mean he will be at the World Championships.

- I think Tuka will be under a lot of pressure and it will be a big surprise if he is the main factor at the World Championships. I don't think he is the main threat to Amos, and I would always bet on Nijel.
