Third kit for the big challenge: The Blues call on luck ahead of the derby

(Patria) - In the camp of FK Željezničar, there is a real "mania" ahead of tonight's eternal derby against Sarajevo.

The club from Grbavica officially confirmed that their players will take to the field tonight in the third kit, dominated by blue, white and orange colours.

For fans who want to secure their own copy of this specific jersey, the club noted that it is already on sale in the official club Shop, which will be open on match day until the very start of the match.

This decision carries a certain dose of historical symbolism, but also caution, given that this is only the second time in the post-war period that Željezničar has played the city derby in the third kit.

Fans are reluctant to recall the previous time when the Blues deviated from their traditional blue kit. That was on 1 May 2021 at Koševo, when Željezničar also played in the third kit variant, and the match ended with a 3:1 victory for Sarajevo.

It remains to be seen whether tonight's choice of kit will bring more luck to the chosen ones from Grbavica and help them break the negative tradition associated with this kit in the most important match of Bosnian football.
