Radoslav Ćebić, journalist of 'Vreme', director and author of numerous films, tragically killed

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Journalist of the weekly "Vreme" Radoslav Ćebić tragically died on Friday, May 1 in the early morning hours, according to a statement from this weekly.  

"Our colleague and friend, journalist of 'Vreme' Radoslav Ćebić tragically died on Friday, May 1 in the early morning hours. Radoslav Ćebić was born in 1972 in Sarajevo. He graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, department of editing. During his career, he collaborated with the Production Group Mreža, Radio Television of Serbia, Television Nova S… He joined 'Vreme' in 2006, when within 'Vreme Film' he worked on editing the TV series 'Jedinica'. Later, he was co-author of the documentary films 'The Fall of Krajina' (2007), 'The Assassination of Đinđić – Media Background' (2008), 'The Bombing' (2009) and 'October 5 – The Final Reckoning' (2010). In the film production of 'Vreme', he collaborated on the docu-fiction films 'Hero 1914' (2014) and 'Apis' (2020)", the statement from 'Vreme' says.

From 2014 to 2019, it adds, as a director he made all 138 episodes of 'Vreme's' show 'Zumiranje'. He also contributed journalistically to the weekly 'Vreme' with more than 140 published texts. At the time of his death, he was working on a documentary film about the illegal demolitions in Belgrade's Savamala on the election night of April 24, 2016.

"Radoslav Ćebić was more than a colleague to the editorial board of 'Vreme' – we will remember him as a reliable man, always ready to help, advise, a man who never refuses any task, even when it is by no means part of his job description", his colleagues from the editorial board said. 

The time and place of the funeral will be announced later.
