
(Patria) - Four people died this morning in the crash of an ambulance helicopter in southwestern Turkey, Anadolu reports.
The helicopter crashed into an open area after hitting a hospital building in Mugla province.
Two pilots, a doctor and a medical worker were killed, confirmed Idris Albiyik, the governor of Mugla province, where the accident occurred.
He stated that the helicopter, which was flying towards Antalya, according to initial assessments, fell into an open area after hitting the hospital building.
The governor added that there was fog in the area where the accident occurred, and the exact cause of the crash will be determined after an investigation is conducted.
Damage was also recorded on the exterior of the hospital building.
Emergency teams, police and AFAD members were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident.
