Tragedy near Mrkonjić Grad: Minor child killed in horrific collision between Peugeot and truck

(Patria) - A minor child was killed in a horrific collision between a Peugeot and a Scania truck that occurred today in the village of Crna Rijeka near Mrkonjić Grad.

A total of six people were injured, including four minor children and their parents. All were transported to the University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska (UKC RS).

One child, unfortunately, died, while the other family members were kept for treatment. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The District Public Prosecutor's Office (OJT) in Banja Luka stated that the accident occurred around 1:45 PM.

- A passenger motor vehicle Peugeot, driven by Rales Sulejmanović (19) from Bosanska Gradiška, and a Scania truck driven by Nikolče Miloševski (55) from Macedonia were involved - said the Prosecutor's Office for Nezavisne novine.

As they stated, Sulejmanović, his wife, and four children were transported to UKC RS where one child succumbed to injuries.

The investigation was conducted by duty prosecutor Miroslav Kotur, and an autopsy of the deceased child has been ordered.
