Tragedy near Laktaši: Daughter accidentally kills mother in the yard

(Patria)- An unprecedented tragedy has shaken the settlement of Trn near Laktaši, where D.D. from Banja Luka unintentionally hit her mother R.B. with a car, who died from her injuries at the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska.

According to ATV, the tragedy occurred yesterday in the yard of their family home in Trn.

According to unofficial information, D.D. was backing out of the yard in a Hyundai SUV. The yard is surrounded by a high hedge, and it is suspected that due to the height of the vehicle, she did not notice her mother who was crouching and doing something around the house.

A collision occurred in which R.B. sustained severe injuries and was transported to the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska, and unfortunately, she died shortly after admission to the hospital.

The Banja Luka Police Department told ATV that police officers, with the consent of the duty prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka, conducted an investigation.

"An investigation was conducted in the yard of the family home in Trn where D.D. from Banja Luka, who was driving a Hyundai vehicle, hit R.B. without noticing her. R.B. sustained bodily injuries as a result of which she died yesterday during the day at the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska," stated the Banja Luka Police Department.

They added that the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka was informed of everything and an autopsy of the body of the tragically deceased woman was ordered, which will be performed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Republic of Srpska.
