Cannon from Yellow Bastion in Sarajevo marked the end of Ramadan

(Patria) - The cannon from the Yellow Bastion in Sarajevo tonight marked the end of the month of Ramadan with a shot.

One of the most recognizable Ramadan symbols in Sarajevo is certainly the Ramadan cannon, which is an indispensable part of the Ramadan atmosphere, writes Faktor.

Many were present at the Yellow Bastion tonight to bid farewell to Ramadan in such an ambiance. And the warm atmosphere before tomorrow's Eid al-Fitr was felt on the streets of Sarajevo.

Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque in Sarajevo will be performed at 6:29 AM, and the Eid sermon will be delivered by the Rais al-ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein ef. Kavazović.

First day of Eid al-Fitr on Friday, March 20th

(Patria) - According to the Calendar of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the first day of Eid al-Fitr in the year 1447 AH, or 2026, is on Friday, March 20th. Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque in Sarajevo will be performed at 6:29 AM, and

Fajr prayer will be performed at 5:15 AM.

The central Eid celebration of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in BiH begins at 5:45 AM.

The traditional Eid greetings at the residence of Rais al-ulama Kavazović will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Administrative Building of the Riyaset in Kovači.

On the second day of Eid al-Fitr, the Islamic Community marks Martyrs' Day, and on this occasion, the central program will be held at the Kovači Martyrs' Cemetery in Sarajevo.

The program includes delegations paying their respects and laying flowers at the central plateau, and then at the grave of the first President of the Presidency of BiH, Alija Izetbegović.
