(Patria) - Toni Vukadin has submitted resignations to the Central Election Commission of BiH for the position of city councilor in the current term, as well as for the position of councilor in the Novi Grad Municipal Council for the 2024-2028 term.
Vukadin confirmed this information to Patria, stating that he had previously submitted resignations for both mandates, but the CEC did not approve the request, so he had to fill out the OB-1 form as prescribed by the CEC's instructions. The CEC is expected to act on this request very soon and assign replacement mandates. Vukadin entered the Novi Grad Municipal Council from the People and Justice party list.
In a conversation with Patria, he said that he is submitting his resignations due to the obligations he has at the Development Bank of FBiH, where he is one of the executive directors.
"I simply cannot physically manage, and the position at the Development Bank is too serious, and I want to dedicate myself to my duties at full capacity," said Vukadin.
Given that he has submitted his resignations, he will not appear at the sessions of the City and Municipal Councils because the CEC determines the termination of the mandate from the date of resignation submission.
Vukadin was appointed acting executive director at the Development Bank of FBiH in November 2023, and in a second appointment, he took the position of executive director for business support at the Development Bank of FBiH. However, for this appointment, he received conditional approval from the Government of FBiH until the conflict of interest issue was resolved.
Although Vukadin claims to have received an interpretation from the CEC according to which this function is not considered a public office, he decided to leave his councilor positions due to his obligations.
