During SFF, tram and trolleybus rides free from 6 PM to 5 AM

(Patria) - The 31st Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) begins tomorrow in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and an additional benefit for all citizens and visitors was announced with a festival ride in a new tram.

The ride was attended by the Minister of Transport of Sarajevo Canton (KS) Adnan Šteta, Minister of Culture and Sport of KS Kenan Magoda, Director of SFF Jovan Marjanović, President of the Tourist Board of KS Haris Fazlagić, and Director of GRAS Senad Mujagić.

Rides on trolleybuses and trams will be free for all citizens and visitors of Sarajevo during the Festival, from August 15 to 22, specifically between 6:00 PM and 5:00 AM.

- The Festival is extremely important for our city, and I am glad that our company GRAS can contribute to the community in this way. I invite all our citizens and visitors to take advantage of the free transportation and to travel safely and quickly to the festival locations.

We are proud to have enabled citizens to use new vehicles during the Festival, which have not been procured in Sarajevo since the Olympics - said Šteta.

The organizers of the Sarajevo Film Festival expressed their satisfaction with this decision.

- I am grateful for the cooperation so far with the Government of Sarajevo Canton, as well as with GRAS, and today's decision is a confirmation of quality relations and social responsibility towards our city.

At a time when there is a huge number of tourists in Sarajevo, and some streets and parking lots are closed due to the organization, free public city transport is a huge opportunity and relief for everyone: the audience, residents of streets that are closed to traffic, and for all of us in the city, who, in this way too, by using public transport - and for free, contribute to a more sustainable future.

We are grateful to everyone who, together with us, contributes to the special festival atmosphere in Sarajevo and BiH during these eight days, and we invite everyone to come to the festival screenings and events using public transport - says SFF Director Jovan Marjanović.

As stated, tram and trolleybus traffic is covered by video surveillance, which further enhances the safety of all passengers in public transport.
