The American started from the 8th starting position, but after only 20 seconds lost her balance and went into the safety fence.
She remained lying motionless for several minutes. In the end, she got up with the help of doctors and limped off the track.
According to initial information, her left leg was injured, and it is unknown if this means the end of the season for the American.
She was airlifted to the hospital for detailed examinations.
The track is obviously in very bad condition because a little later Corinne Suter also suffered an injury. She managed to stop before hitting the safety fence, but injured her knee in the process.
In addition to them, Federica Brignone and Priska Nufer also got injured. Brignone had a better outcome and waved that everything was fine, while Nufer left the track with the help of the medical team.
