Bosnia and Herzegovina's Tennis Players Seek Path to Elite World Group via Slovakia

BRATISLAVA, (Patria) - The Davis Cup tennis team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play matches of the 2nd round of the Euro-African Zone First Group against the Slovakian team in Bratislava on Friday and Saturday.

In the first match of today's program, the best BH. tennis player Damir Džumhur will play against Norbert Gombos at 4 PM, after which a singles match is scheduled between Mirza Bašić and Martin Kližan.

The remaining three matches will be played tomorrow, with the program starting with a doubles match at 2 PM, where Mirza Bašić and Tomislav Brkić will play against Andrej Martin and Igor Zelenay. This will be followed by matches between Kližan and Džumhur, and Gombos and Bašić.

Davis Cup matches will be played to two won sets this season, instead of the previous three.

The winning team from the BiH-Slovakia duel will qualify for the Play-Off for entry into the elite World Group, which will be played in September.

Live broadcast of the Davis Cup matches between BiH and Slovakia will be on BHT1, on Friday from 3:50 PM and on Saturday from 1:50 PM.
