Telephone session of the FBiH Government: Bajazit Jašarević new Director of EP BiH

The Government of the Federation of BiH, at today's emergency, telephone-held session, gave prior consent to the Supervisory Board of the Public Company Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo for the adoption of the Decision on the dismissal of the Management of this company, due to the expiration of their mandate, headed by General Director Elvedin Grabovica, and Executive Directors Mirsad Šabanović, Senad Sarajlić, Mensura Zuka, Amil Kamenica, Edin Mujagić and Admir Anđelija, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

At the same time, the Government gave prior consent for the adoption of the Decision on the appointment of acting members of the Management of JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo, for a period of up to six months, or until the completion of the tender procedure, namely for General Director Bajazit Jašarević, as well as for Executive Directors: for Supply and Trade Samir Selimović, for Production Nevad Ikanović, for Legal and Personnel Affairs Mensura Zuka, for Capital Investments Besim Imamović, for Economic Affairs Muhamed Ražanica and for Distribution Admir Anđelija.

The decisions take effect on the day of their adoption and will be published in the „Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH”.

The legal basis for the adoption of these decisions is based on Article 19, Paragraph 2 of the Law on the Government of FBiH, as well as Article 15, Paragraph 1 of the Decree on the Exercise of Authority in Companies with State Capital Participation within the Competence of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to which the Government of FBiH, exceptionally, without following the procedure from Article 13 of the Decree, can adopt a decision on giving prior consent to the competent body of a company with state capital participation for the appointment of acting members of the management until the completion of the tender procedure, and for a maximum period of six months, starting from the day the decision of the company's competent body enters into force.

The explanation of the decisions also states that the mandate of the Management members of Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo, to which they were appointed by the decision of the Assembly of this public company, expires on August 31, 2015, and a tender for the selection and appointment of the new Management has not yet been announced.

Therefore, the adoption of the decisions was necessary for the continuous and uninterrupted operation of this public company, which is of essential importance for the electricity sector in the Federation of BiH.

At the same time, the newly appointed acting General Director of JP Elektroprivreda BiH, Bajazit Jašarević, will appoint Senad Sarajlić as acting Assistant General Director for Development.

Otherwise, in the past few days, a "battle" was waged between individuals in the US because some wanted Jašarević at the head of EP BiH, while Mirsad Kukić, vice-president of this party and president of KO SDA TK, insisted that his candidate Nevad Ikanović be in one of the director positions, otherwise he threatened to withdraw the obedience of certain deputies in the State and Federal Parliaments, who are under his control.
