Anonymous hackers who published the data of users of the Ashley Madison adultery website have finally spoken out after several days of silence. They stated that the published data is just the tip of the iceberg, as they have a sea of unpublished data. The Impact Team, as the hackers call themselves, mocked the level of security the website provided to its clients, reports the Patria News Agency.

"Nobody was paying attention," they told Motherboard, adding that they worked hard so that no one would notice their attack on the site.

Personal data of more than 37 million clients of this site have been published, and the media reported that a woman in Great Britain has already initiated divorce proceedings against her husband who regularly used the site's services. Legal experts predict that Avid Life Media, the company that owns Ashley Madison, will face an avalanche of lawsuits from clients whose privacy has been violated.

The hackers collected materials for years, and claim to have about 300 gigabytes of material, which includes correspondence of the site's employees, photos exchanged by users, and their correspondence content. They also added that they will not publish some sexually explicit photos.

They announced that they will attack other companies that "profit from people's suffering" and corrupt politicians. They denied extorting users of the site, accusing Avid Life of fabricating these claims.

"Avid Life Media is like a dealer who abuses people's addiction," they concluded, writes Index.
