Tauber: I don't know why anyone would attack a man involved in culture and faith

Police are intensively working to find the attacker who assaulted the advisor for culture and faith of the Jewish community in BiH Eli Tauber on Saturday evening in Sarajevo, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

Tauber was attacked in a catering facility in the old part of Sarajevo, when an unknown assailant approached him and inflicted minor head injuries with an iron weight.

Tauber said that the man certainly tried to kill him, but it ended with only minor head injuries because he managed to dodge the attacker at the last moment, who soon fled the catering facility.

- I deal with culture, faith, and science, and this is truly a surprise to me. I have never fallen out with anyone. But, we will wait for the police to find the attacker, after which I will be able to say more about this case – Tauber told Patria.
