Tarik is already a star of BiH musicals: Our Danny Zuco rocked X Factor!

He was born on June 7, 1995, in besieged Sarajevo. Many know him from the time of the rock band Maximum Power when, at just 13 years old, he amazed the audience with his rock vocals. It was just the beginning of his rise to stardom, writes the Patria News Agency.

Tarik Mulaomerović literally rocked the regional talent show "X Factor Adria" last night. In the first episode, Tarik and Adnan Pacoli left the jury, composed of eminent artists from the region, speechless and breathless.

- Somewhere between my obligations at the Academy, specifically towards the end of high school, I met Tarik, who immediately impressed me with his presence, energy, and above all, his voice and musicality. It was in 2013 when we were preparing the musical Grease, the first post-war musical in BiH, at the Institute for Music, Theatre and Multimedia, together with the Music Academy and the National Theatre Sarajevo.

Together with my colleague Nenad Tešić, we were looking for the lead role. As soon as we heard him, we knew he was our Danny Zuco, the lead role in the musical. Then came the musical Footloose and another lead role, Ren McCormack, in which he excelled, recalls Alma Ferović-Fazlić, director of the Institute, for Patria.

Ferović tells Tarik and Adnan that the teams of the musicals Grease and Footloose are proud of them both.

- We will vote when the time comes, and we believe that if there is justice, not rigging, this X Factor will be theirs!, emphasizes Ferović-Fazlić.  

Tarik graduated from the Secondary Music School in Sarajevo, majoring in solo singing, and then enrolled in the Music Academy in Sarajevo. This wonderful, modest young man, popular among the people, continues to charm and conquer, but this time the entire region, along with his friend Adnan Pacoli.

Their first performance showed something very original, which is not a common occurrence in the music world, and at the same time very complex and unique.

- Tarik is destined for great success, and according to all those who watched and listened to him in our two musical productions, he is an extraordinary talent that BiH has not seen for a long time.

Indeed, performing in a musical means being able to sing, dance, and act at the same time, which Tarik mastered with ease. We hope that due to his obligations, he will be able to join us this summer for our third production, but if not, he is always with us and we are with him, says Ferović-Fazlić.

She notes that BiH deserves to finally show the region that we have musical gems and to stop the established policy of bringing in soloists for various concerts under the pretext that we have no one of our own.

- We have Tarik, we have Adnan, and many others. It is enough to attend one of our musicals to see phenomenal people, no better than those from London or New York. BiH is a treasure trove of talent, and these young people have shown it with their performance, emphasizes Ferović-Fazlić.
