Taljić's novel about Sultan Fatih translated into Turkish

The novel „We Will Meet Again Under the Red Apple – A Novel about Sultan Fatih, Bosniaks and Bosnia“ by the renowned Bosnian-Herzegovinian writer Isnam Taljić has been translated into Turkish, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

One of the best novels by a Bosnian-Herzegovinian writer in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina has so far seen three editions in Bosnian, and at the beginning of December, the edition was also translated into Turkish.

Speaking about the novel „We Will Meet Again Under the Red Apple – A Novel about Sultan Fatih, Bosniaks and Bosnia“ Taljić previously said that the present time and situation with Bosnia too strongly resembles the situation from 550 years ago when Sultan Fatih came to these areas. Then, as now, Bosnia was falling apart, but now there is no new Sultan Fatih in sight to save it, as Sultan Fatih did in those years. 

It is precisely for this reason, says Taljić, that he wrote this novel so that Bosniaks could draw lessons from it and so that Bosniaks, who now have greater national awareness than ever in history, would unite and become aware that it is up to them to preserve both Bosnia and the Bosniak people. 

The publisher of Taljić's novel in Turkish is the reputable publishing house Kastaş Yayinevi from Istanbul, reports Patria.
