(Patria) - Commenting on the behavior of radical Vojislav Šešelj, one of the most famous writers from Serbia, Svetislav Basara, said that Šešelj no longer has any brakes, nor does anyone in Serbia try to stop him.
"Even his parliamentary immunity has not been revoked," Basara said on the show Nedjeljom u 2 on HRT, recalling that Šešelj's public discourse crosses all civilizational boundaries.
When asked how he would react to Vojislav Šešelj's appearance if he were the Prime Minister of Serbia, Basara said that he would deport Šešelj to Sarajevo, alluding to Šešelj's birthplace.
"But, I don't think they would want him there either," replied the show's host Aleksandar Stanković.
"Across the Drina, and whatever happens, let him fend for himself," Basara replied.
Vojislav Šešelj is a Serbian politician, president of the Serbian Radical Party, a member of the Serbian Parliament, who was convicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague for war crimes during the war in the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. He is the former party leader of the current President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
