ibis Styles Hotel Opens, a Blend of Bosnian Tradition and Olympic Spirit

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – The renovated and adapted ibis Styles hotel, a new brand of the leading global group AccorHotels which already has four hotels in Sarajevo, was opened tonight in Sarajevo in the presence of numerous guests.

With the construction of the tower, the hotel's capacity has been increased, now featuring 181 rooms, a spa center, a restaurant, a panoramic bar, and a congress hall for 800 people. The investing company Tareq Hospitality d.o.o. has directed around 30 million KM into this project.

The Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality, Semir Efendić, stated that the hotel was opened 10 years ago (Sarajevo) and has already become a cult place in the Novi Grad municipality, as well as being the largest hotel in that municipality.

“This is an important facility in our municipality. There will surely be more, and we will continue to support such projects,” said Efendić.

Irek Weglowski, representative of the Management of Orbis Group, AccorHotels' partner for Central and Eastern Europe, stated that this group will continue its expansion and strengthen its leading position in this part of Europe.

The ibis Styles hotel is characterized by its imaginative interior inspired by the tradition of BiH and the city's Olympic spirit.

The opening ceremony of the hotel was attended by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić, the Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka, who cut the ribbon together with representatives of the investors, and numerous guests from public, political, and social life.
