(Patria) - The cost of living is increasing month by month.
The union consumer basket calculated by the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for April 2025 amounted to 3,168.90 KM.
The average salary paid in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for February 2025 was 1,525 KM, while the minimum wage, according to the decision of the FBiH Government, has been 1,000 KM since January this year.
And while we are greeted daily by price increases in shops and supermarkets, we recorded fruit prices in one Sarajevo store.
Thus, a kilogram of grapes costs 15 KM, apricots 11.70 KM. A kilogram of nectarines is 9.10 KM, and pears 6.30 KM.
This year, cherries reached a record price, requiring 20 KM per kilogram.
More and more people are buying fruit and vegetables by the piece.
