Everything Ready for New Year's Eve 2026: Sarajevo Expects a Musical-Stage Spectacle Tonight

(Patria) - Croatian pop singer Jelena Rozga will usher in the New Year 2026 in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina tonight.

Rozga says she is ready to provide the people of Sarajevo and its guests with an unforgettable time on New Year's Eve.

- I cannot describe how happy and honored I am that it will be me ushering in the New, better year 2026 for the people of Sarajevo and all its guests. I am very excited, I have a little stage fright, but that's normal - I'm like that.

The most important thing for me is to entertain and "warm up" everyone who comes to welcome the year 2026 together. So I tell everyone - dress warmly, warm up your vocal cords, because a wonderful evening awaits you - Rozga said before tonight's performance.

The public New Year's Eve 2026 program in Sarajevo begins at 7:30 PM with the audio-visual broadcast of the Sarajevo Philharmonic's New Year's Concert from the National Theatre on LED screens that will be set up on "Susan Sontag" Theatre Square and on LED screens at the site of the public New Year's Eve 2026 celebration.

- Sarajevo is the only city where the celebration of this craziest night begins with a philharmonic concert, and I am proud of that. Be with us on the squares of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and enjoy the magic of our New Year's concert - said the director of the Sarajevo Philharmonic, Vedran Tuce.

The central program of the public New Year's Eve 2026 celebration begins at 9 PM with a performance by the band Divanhana, a multi-award-winning, world-renowned band that performs traditional Balkan music in new, recognizable arrangements influenced by jazz, pop, and classical music.

They place a special focus on nurturing and presenting sevdah, the urban traditional music of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- It is a great honor for us to perform at the public New Year's Eve celebration in the capital of our country. We thank the organizers for the invitation and the trust shown.

Since we released our new album a few months ago, this concert represents a special opportunity for us to present it to the audience in the most beautiful way possible.

We are ready, and dear guests will join us on stage, as well as our long-term collaborators responsible for the visual identity of the entire performance, all to bring the evening under the stars in Sarajevo to its full brilliance - emphasized Neven Tunjić of Divanhana.

After Divanhana, one of the best vocals from this region, Dženan Lončarević, known for his excellent repertoire and the top-notch atmosphere he creates at every performance, will "warm up" the Sarajevo audience.

- Meeting the Sarajevo audience, which is particularly close to me, is always special, even more so this time, because I have been honored to entertain everyone present on the square behind SCC with my repertoire and to see off this year together.
