Ireland vs. BiH match overshadowed by Paris attacks: No security threat for the game

Ireland coach Martin O'Neill said he is not concerned about security during the upcoming match between Ireland and BiH at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on November 16, following one of the unprecedented terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13 near the Stade de France where the friendly match Germany – France was played, writes the Irish Independent, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

O'Neill said he was horrified by the events in Paris and that they could affect football matches.

- I hope the stadium is well secured and I think everything will be alright. I haven't thought much about it, more about Paris itself – said the Irish coach.

Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan said on Saturday that the threat level for Ireland is very low. Old Trafford stadium was under special security surveillance yesterday where a UNICEF charity match organized by David Beckham took place.

Ireland with reinforcements

Otherwise, as Patria previously reported, the Irish national team has received reinforcements, with John O'Shea and Shane Long training with the rest of the team this morning. Striker Jonathan Walters also joined them.

As for the Dragons, Muhamed Bešić has returned to the team after his suspension expired, so coach Mehmed Baždarević will be able to count on all players.
