Sulejman Jasika and Mustafa Mehičević charged with attempted murder of Amir Pašić

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office against Sulejman Jasika and Mustafa Mehičević for the criminal offenses of attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons.

The accused are charged with coming to the summer garden of a Sarajevo hotel armed with pistols on June 1, 2024, around 8 PM, and approaching the table where Amir Pašić was sitting.

After a brief argument, the accused fired several shots from pistols in the direction of Amir Pašić, inflicting several injuries on his body. When the injured party began to move away in fear for his life, the accused fired more shots in his direction, at least one of which hit a nearby building housing the premises of the Federal Bureau of Statistics and the State Statistical Agency.

Shortly thereafter, they were arrested and the pistols were found on them. The acting prosecutor proposed extending the pre-trial detention of the accused, and for the main hearing, the examination of 12 witnesses, four experts, and the presentation of about 70 pieces of material evidence.
