Constitutional Court of BiH Judge Marin Vukoja at Thompson's concert in Široki Brijeg with Nazi salutes

(Patria) - Constitutional Court of BiH judge Marin Vukoja, close to HDZ, who was elected as a constitutional judge with the votes of the Trojka and HDZ in May 2024, attended the concert of controversial singer Marko Perković Thompson.

Thus, dalmatinskiportal.hr published a gallery of photos released by Thompson's team, and Marin Vukoja is in one of the photos at the concert in Široki Brijeg.

The concert of Marko Perković Thompson, held in Široki Brijeg at the Pecara sports hall, was accompanied by the glorification of the Ustaše regime, through songs and symbolism, as well as gestures of those present, a regime responsible for hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths. Later, the Israeli non-resident ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Galit Peleg, reacted, condemning the events at the concert.

Thousands of people in Široki Brijeg chanted “Za dom spremni” in unison.

In a post on social network X, Peleg described the scenes from the Pecara hall in Široki Brijeg, where Marko Perković held two concerts on February 13 and 14, as "shocking".

The hall was full both days, and the concerts were marked by recognizable iconography, including the performance of the song "Bojne Čavoglave", which the audience accompanied with shouts of "Za dom spremni" and raising their right hand in the air.

- Shocking scenes of young people in Široki Brijeg celebrating with Nazi salutes. Such outbursts of hatred must be eradicated, Peleg wrote.

She called on the authorities in BiH to react decisively to such phenomena, take concrete measures, and sanction those responsible.

- I expect the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina to decisively address this incident and ensure accountability, Peleg stated.

The president of the Jewish charitable society La Benevolencija from Sarajevo, Vladimir Andrle, also joined the condemnations of the iconography that accompanied Thompson's concerts in Široki Brijeg, emphasizing that the main features of the concerts were Ustaše chanting and Nazi salutes.

- Relativizing evil does not strengthen identity. It destroys societies and insults the memory of the victims. Confronting the past is the least a civilized society can do. Let's do it for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Andrle's message posted on X reads.
