Students who glorified war criminals expelled from Criminology studies for three years

(Patria) - The Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies of UNSA issued a statement informing students and employees of the University of Sarajevo, and the wider public that the Disciplinary Commission for disciplinary responsibility of students at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies has concluded the procedure for determining the disciplinary responsibility of students Valentina Vujičić and Slađana Todić, following a report by the Dean of the Faculty, due to, as they state, a gross violation of the reputation of the University and the Faculty.

They further emphasize that the disciplinary commission imposed the strictest disciplinary measure prescribed by the provisions of the Statute of the University of Sarajevo - expulsion from studies at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies for a duration of 3 (three) academic years, in accordance with the established serious violation of disciplinary conduct, namely the gross violation of the reputation of the University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies.

- In the hope that such a decision, as the Disciplinary Commission stated, among other things, in the detailed explanation of the decision, will also have a preventive character, I take this opportunity to call on all students of the University of Sarajevo to refrain from using hate speech, offensive, sexist, and discriminatory speech, divisive language, and other related narratives in all forms of their public expression (in-person communication, via social networks, online platforms, media, etc.), taking into account positive legal regulations, their personal reputation, and the reputation of the University, as well as the far-reaching harmful consequences that these types of narratives have in our society - stated the Dean of FKKSS, Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ahić.
