FPN Diplomacy and European Integration Students Visit BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Around eighty students of diplomacy and European integration from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Minister Zlatko Lagumdžija presented the organization and responsibilities of the Ministry to the students, as well as BiH's foreign policy priorities, and the key diplomatic activities of the Ministry in the past year, especially the meaning of the European Union's latest initiative for BiH. Assistant Ministers Selma Užičanin, Zoran Perković, Mitar Kujundžić, and Amer Kapetanović presented the activities of each sector of the Ministry and acquainted the students with the less publicly known side of diplomacy. They also responded very accommodatingly, and unusually openly for diplomats, to numerous student questions.

This year again, the visit for the FPN diplomacy and European integration students was organized by the Head of the Department of Political Sciences, Prof. Dr. Safet Halilović, Prof. Dr. Stjepan Šimić, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nedžma Džananović-Miraščija. The goal of this and similar activities is to enrich the teaching process by introducing a practical dimension to education, and judging by the accommodating nature of the hosts at the Ministry and the positive reactions of the students, the continuation of cooperation between FPN and the MFA is one of the priorities for both institutions.
