Party for BiH: Let Austria explain Hofer's statement

The Party for BiH is shocked by the latest statements of one of the Vice-Presidents of the Austrian Parliament, Norbert Hofer, who, as stated, gave full support to all activities of the smaller BiH entity, including self-determination and a referendum on the judiciary, according to a statement from the Party for BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.  

 

- Mr. Hofer allegedly made the statement after a meeting with Milorad Dodik. We call on the Austrian Embassy to comment on this matter because Mr. Hofer holds a high position in the Austrian Parliament.

If the statement proves to be credible, we expect an apology because such irresponsible actions directly support the dissolution of a sovereign country and endanger the hard-won peace.

Austria has been one of the proven friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so such statements, which we do not yet wish to believe, indicate that individuals or groups in high Austrian politics are pushing our country in a retrograde direction. We also expect the Austrian Embassy to confirm to the public of our country whether Austria officially continues to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the statement from SBiH reads.
