Party of BiH will not join potential new Una-Sana Canton government: We are not interested in power with NiP, we remain on the state-building discourse

(Patria) - After the failed attempt to take over the Una-Sana Canton Government in May this year, the political project Trojka with the affiliated People's European Party has recently embarked on the same project again.

According to sources of the Patria Agency, in the past few days, the president of the People and Justice party, Elmedin Konaković, visited Krajina, where he persuaded, and to some extent blackmailed, some political entities to try to replace the Una-Sana Canton Government again with NES and Trojka.

Although it was written in the last two days that the Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina would be part of a potential new majority in Una-Sana Canton, Patria's sources reveal that this will not be the case.

Several officials of the Party of BiH confirmed to us that they will not join a potential new majority, because they do not want to be part of any government led by People and Justice.

As they say, the Party of BiH showed after the decisions of Christian Schmidt, who imposed the Trojka and HDZ Government of the Federation of BiH, that the interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina is its priority and they have no intention of changing their discourse.

The party says they would not have a problem joining the whole story if it were led by NES, or if the Prime Minister were Mustafa Ružnić, with whom they had good cooperation before, but they do not want to join a government led by NiP and Elmedin Konaković.

It is still difficult to predict what will come of all this. A meeting of representatives of the still opposition parties in Una-Sana Canton was held in Cazin today, and whether they will ultimately have enough votes in the Una-Sana Canton Assembly to change the government will be seen in the coming days.

It is symptomatic of the whole story, as we have unofficially learned, that Schmidt, who imposed the Government of Nermin Nikšić, has become involved in lobbying for a change of government in Una-Sana Canton, which is a blatant violation of his mandate. According to our sources, Schmidt lobbied during his visit to Bihać to support the new majority.
