The Council of the Bosniak National Minority of the City of Zagreb is organizing the IX. convoy of young Bosniaks and their friends, titled "Lest We Never Forget", from May 15th to 16th, which will visit Srebrenica and pay tribute to the Bosniak victims from 1992 to 1995, writes the BH news agency Patria.
The convoy will gather young people from Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, and Bosnia and Herzegovina who will jointly visit the Memorial Center in Potočari.
The Council of the Bosniak National Minority of the City of Zagreb reminded, among other things, that the Srebrenica genocide is the greatest suffering of Bosniaks in the recent history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Young people can best learn about it through direct encounters with surviving witnesses at the crime scene.
By gathering young people in Srebrenica, the Council of the Bosniak National Minority of the City of Zagreb wants to draw public attention to this horrific event that occurred in Europe in the 20th century.
The Council of the Bosniak National Minority of the City of Zagreb will provide transportation for the convoy participants on the Zagreb – Srebrenica - Zagreb route, accommodation at the Behram-beg Madrasa in Tuzla, and lunch in Srebrenica. Priority will be given to young people up to 35 years of age, it was announced, reports NAP.
