Bosnia and Herzegovina's table tennis players continue their excellent streak: Sixth consecutive victory against Portugal

The table tennis team of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues with victories at the 54th World Championship held in Halmstad.

In the knockout stage of the fight for promotion to Division B, our girls achieved a victory against Portugal today with a score of 3:2, thus remaining in the race for 49th place.

Team captain Emina Hadžiahmetović played in great style and achieved both individual victories, while Snežana Marković confirmed the triumph for the "Zmajice" (Dragons), who also had a difficult task yesterday against Guatemala (3:2) to decide the winner in the last match.

- The girls were great. The Portuguese rested yesterday, and we had a tough match in five sets against Guatemala. However, that was not felt in the game, and Emina proved to be a true captain - these are the words of coach Amela Hadžiahmetović Mujezinović from Halmstad.

Our girls will play against Indonesia tonight at 7 PM. After six consecutive victories, our girls have secured at least 52nd place at the World Championship, which is an excellent result.

- I was under great pressure because I knew I had to win two matches, but in the end, I concentrated and showed what I know - said Emina Hadžiahmetović.

Let us remind you, our best girls were defeated by Wales in the first round with a score of 1:3, after which they achieved six victories in the next six matches, against Sri Lanka with 3:1, against Bangladesh with 3:0 (walkover) and Maldives with 3:1, Norway with 3:0, and with 3:2 against Guatemala and today against Portugal.
