Stoltenberg invited Bećirović to a meeting

8Patria) - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg invited the Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, to a meeting at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

This is the third meeting between Chairperson Bećirović and the NATO Secretary General in just over a year. The meeting will be organized within the next ten days.

We remind you that the permanent committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly decided to establish a new status for countries striving for membership in the alliance, and officially designated Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Georgia as candidate countries.

The decision was made as part of a comprehensive reform of the Assembly's partnership adopted in Tallinn, and the changes are expected to be ratified at the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly in Bulgaria at the end of May.
