Stojčevac gets new basketball courts, soon also an artificial turf football pitch

(Patria) - The Ilidža Municipality has continued the renovation of facilities at the Stojčevac picnic area, which has become richer with two brand new basketball courts.

In the past period, the Ilidža Municipality has invested significant funds in the development of sports and the construction of sports infrastructure, and the new sports facilities at Stojčevac are just one part of that project.

The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, emphasized that the construction of basketball courts was necessary because there was a lack of adequate space for young people and basketball enthusiasts at Stojčevac.

"Opening new courts is not just an infrastructural success, but also an investment in the health and future of our fellow citizens. These basketball courts represent not only sports infrastructure but also a symbol of joint effort and passion for sports. Besides play and recreation, the courts will also promote a spirit of togetherness and active life among all generations," said Mayor Muzur.

The newly opened courts provide not only a place for sports but also for socializing and making friendships, and the mayor announced that the sports area at Stojčevac will soon receive additional facilities.

"The base for artificial turf and a small football pitch is ready, and very soon, thanks to this project, all conditions will be met for the Memorial Small Football Tournament 'Gigi and Haris' to return to Stojčevac next year, where it originally started. May our sports fields be a place where we will together create wonderful sports moments and memories," added Mayor Nermin Muzur.
