LETTER RECEIVED American company set to build South Interconnection denies connection to Dodik

(Patria) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, has received a letter from the President and CEO of AAFS Infrastructure & Energy, LLC, involved in the South Interconnection project, Joseph J. Flynn.

We remind you that, in accordance with the Law on the "South Interconnection Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia" Gas Pipeline, the American investor - the company AAFS Infrastructure and Energy d.o.o., registered in Sarajevo and wholly owned by the American company AAFS Infrastructure and Energy LLC, is designated for the implementation of the construction project of this strategically important gas pipeline.

"Recent media reports and public speculation attempting to link AAFS Infrastructure and Energy, LLC (AAFS), its representatives, or business activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) with political figures, including Milorad Dodik or my brother, retired US Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, are entirely false, misleading, and without any factual basis," the letter states, adding:

"My brother, retired Lieutenant General Flynn, as well as Mr. Dodik, are in no way involved in the business projects that AAFS is implementing in BiH, nor is our company connected to the political statements made by General Flynn or Mr. Dodik. AAFS is a private investment and infrastructure company focused exclusively on long-term economic projects and strategic American investments in BiH."

The American company states that their mission is focused on energy security, infrastructure modernization, industrial development, job creation, and strengthening economic cooperation between the United States of America and BiH.

"AAFS is not involved in political activities in BiH, does not participate in political processes, and does not support or represent any political party, political leader, or political agenda in the country," they note.

They emphasize that they appreciate the statements made at the United Nations Security Council session by the Deputy US Ambassador to the UN, Tammy Bruce, which reaffirmed the US Government's support for the role of the Constitutional Court of BiH, and which also described this project as an opportunity for the prosperity of all citizens.

"We strongly support her stated position. Our activities in BiH are exclusively business-oriented and focused on creating tangible economic value for the citizens of BiH through investments, infrastructure development, diversification of energy sources, and private sector growth. We maintain communication with institutions solely within the framework of legitimate investment procedures, regulatory requirements, and project development processes, which represents standard practice for any international investor operating in foreign markets," it is stated.

They also state that attempts to politicize private investment initiatives or link the company to domestic political narratives are irresponsible and pose a risk of deterring much-needed international investment in BiH.

"AAFS remains committed to transparent, lawful, and professional business operations in accordance with the legal standards of the United States, Europe, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our focus remains unchanged: supporting economic development, creating opportunities for citizens, and contributing to the long-term stability and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina through investment, not politics," the letter from the President and CEO of the American company AAFS Infrastructure & Energy, LLC, addressed to the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, concludes.
