Šteta organized a meeting with directors of utility companies, the heating problem in Vogošća will also be resolved by tomorrow

(Patria) - Acting Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton Adnan Šteta organized a meeting today with directors of public utility companies to discuss all activities being carried out in these companies. The topics of discussion also included all the challenges faced by the companies and citizens.

The meeting was attended by the directors of the cantonal public utility companies Toplane, Rad, Park, Tržnice, Sarajevogas, Vodovod i kanalizacija, Pokop, and Bags.

“One of the biggest current challenges facing the Ministry and the Government is ensuring heating in the Municipality of Vogošća, supplied by Bags. The Government has found a solution, and I am glad that everything has been agreed upon so that citizens finally get heating. I expect that by the end of the day tomorrow, citizens will have heating,” stated Minister Šteta.

On the other hand, 70,000 users of Sarajevogas have a regular gas supply, and around 55,000 users of Toplane are using heating without interruption. The supply will remain regular throughout the winter, and citizens have no reason to worry.

Rad will intensify and enhance the cleaning of public areas under its jurisdiction, and for the same purpose, all municipal services and employers have been called upon to cooperate and dedicate additional effort to cleaning pedestrian paths and crosswalks.

Park is closely monitoring the situation on the ground and actively assisting in the removal and cutting of damaged trees and branches due to snowfall, with the aim of protecting people and property throughout the Canton. They pay special attention to cleaning stairs during the winter period.

By the end of the week, an Agreement for the reconstruction of the water supply network in Soukbunar will be signed, which unfortunately records a water network loss of about 80%.

Tržnice and Pokop are carrying out their activities without interruption and plan a series of projects for successful business operations in the coming period.

“It is important to emphasize that processes in all companies that were awaiting Government decisions have now been unblocked, and all activities will be implemented according to plans. I expect maximum dedication from all companies in providing the best services to citizens,” added Minister Šteta.
