The expert, who was the first assistant and right-hand man to Mehmed Baždarević, then struck a Greek footballer and knocked out his tooth. FIFA suspended him for six months and imposed a fine of 3,000 francs, which was a signal for the Association to terminate their cooperation with him.
Nevertheless, the Frenchman has not forgotten the national team and its players, and although he is not with them, he sent them a very emotional message ahead of the matches against Cyprus and Gibraltar.
