STANKO'S RING LOOSENS: The shaken foundations of Čović's power, will the criminal background of the HDZ-SNSD-Vučić coalition be brought to light?

In the absence of the possibility for an adequate defense against the strong start of the candidate of the Croatian Five for the BiH Presidency member Zdenko Lučić, the leader of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović and his personal candidate for the BiH Presidency Darijana Filipović headed to Zagreb, where in a conversation with the Croatian Generals' Association they sought support and obviously the containment of Lučić.

Of everything important, the message delivered after the meeting by the president of the HGZ Marinko Krešić detects the reason and the actual content of the conversation. And Krešić, in his statement before journalists, expressed the hope that Croatian parties and other relevant factors, in the next elections in BiH, will manage to agree on a single candidate, for the benefit of all in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In translation, Krešić hopes for Lučić's withdrawal in favor of Čović and HDZ BiH. On the other hand, one should not forget the recordings published on two Herzegovinian media, and especially the one on the portal Otpor where General Miro Grabovac Titan at the Presidency of the HNS tells Čović that Lučić should be “stopped, removed”, and that Lučić is part of intelligence structures and a political general.

In this regard, one should also view Čović's departure to the HGZ in Zagreb, but this time also the absence of a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and the president of the local HDZ Andrej Plenković, which in earlier practice was a very rare case.

However, all indications are that Čović is in a panic and increasingly aware that Plenković wants to get rid of him through Lučić, but also through some cadres within HDZ BiH itself. Therefore, he seeks help from the generals of the Croatian Army and the Croatian Defense Council, among others the war criminal Tihomir Blaškić, because he is absolutely aware that if Lučić continues with the story, some serious secrets from the nineties could see the light of day.

And Lučić has already hinted at what it is about and with just a few sentences about Čović caused a serious earthquake in the politics of BiH Croats. Instead of an argumentative discussion, Čović tried to turn the story towards Bosniaks, the AID, Sarajevo, even though his Herzegovinian opponent made accusations, not someone from Sarajevo.

When the truth sees the light of day, and that will happen sooner or later, Dragan Čović will be in a bigger problem than he thinks, because then the problem will not only be his secessionist and anti-state policy, but also the facts that brought him, positioned him and strengthened him by the forces of the former SDB (State Security Service of Yugoslavia) and BIA (Security Information Agency of Serbia).

In this context, the story about Soko, the role of that company, HDZ cadres and Čović himself in the aggression against Croatia, i.e. Vukovar, will only open questions about the unresolved past.

And reliable data we have obtained say that just before the start of the war, Branko Kolobarić, the head of finance of Soko, flew to Belgrade on a mission to collect debts from the SSNO (Federal Secretariat for National Defense).

At that time, it was agreed that Soko would help the attack on Vukovar with material and technical resources. The agreement was also implemented, and at that time the director of Soko was Dragan Čović. Due to the implementation of this agreement, Čović found himself in a difficult position, because when the time came for talks between Zagreb and Belgrade, it threatened that the truth would come to light.

And after Zagreb and Belgrade opened talks on the handover of documentation related to Vukovar, Čović became connected with Milorad Dodik, in order to protect the Herzegovinian dwarf and by all accounts an accomplice in the crime in Vukovar.

The current president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, also got involved in the whole story, so this trio worked on preventing the truth from coming to light, and later also acted in political synergy. From then until today, the coalition connected by intelligence-criminal lines functions stably.

And in the whole story, the key link is Stanko Čolak, the former head of the Second Directorate of the SDB, which is the successor of the UDBA and the key department within the State Security Service of the SFRY, responsible for surveillance, intelligence work and secret operations.

Stanko, who still lives in Belgrade today, is hated in Herzegovina; after the wars of the nineties, they say he came only once, but he compensated for his physical absence by positioning his cadres. And one of them, besides Dragan Čović, was also the president of HDZ, between 2002 and 2005. It is Bariša Čolak, who quickly rose to high positions in the party and state institutions, all with the help of his relative in Belgrade, Stanko Čolak.

When one takes into account the fact that Bariša Čolak is still at the top of HDZ politics, an advisor to Borjana Krišto, it is clear that the ring created in Belgrade under the direction of Stanko Čolak still has the key say in HDZ politics. This ring is probably most responsible for the fact that Dragan Čović has been protected from prosecution before the domestic judiciary in recent decades, and there were founded suspicions in many things.

However, the Čolaks are getting old, and some new services and their cadres are emerging, so the day when Dragan Čović will see his end is not far off, it is only a question of whether he will show wisdom and leave peacefully or resist and be dismantled the way he and his people dismantled political opponents.

Whenever that happens, Čović will have to look around him in search of culprits and possible problems, because we are sure that he is aware that this time there is no excuse for Sarajevo, the AID and Bosniaks. And even if he had one, it won't help him, and the messages from Zagreb, spoken and unspoken, clearly support that.
