Road conditions: Fog in valleys, traffic jams towards ski resorts

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Fog reduces visibility in valleys and along river courses, so BIHAMK urges drivers to be extra cautious.

They also draw attention to frequent landslides of soil or rocks onto the road.

Vehicle traffic is increased on the routes leading from ski resorts and winter recreational areas.

On all routes, cautious driving is advised, and we remind you that winter equipment is legally mandatory.

Traffic is suspended due to works in the Jasen tunnel (Prozor-Jablanica). Passenger vehicles and smaller trucks use the detour around the tunnel, while trucks over 7.5 tons (with the exception of buses) are directed to alternative routes: Mostar-Široki Brijeg-Posušje-Tomislavgrad-Kupres-Bugojno and Mostar-Sarajevo-Busovača-Novi Travnik-Bugojno.

Due to works on the bridge over the Drina River in Goražde (R-448), traffic is suspended and rerouted to alternative routes.

Traffic is slower due to works on the road sections: Vitez-Travnik, Živinice-Banovići, Drvar-Bosansko Grahovo, Rogatica-Ustiprača, Gromiljak-Blažuj, and Šuica-Tomislavgrad.

At border crossings, waiting times are no longer than 30 minutes. The Metaljka border crossing is open from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Due to New Year's, the transport of explosives in BiH is prohibited until tomorrow (02.01.) at midnight.
