Stanivuković: PDP ready for discussion on the new Constitution of Republika Srpska

(Patria) - The Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) is ready to actively engage in the discussion on adopting a new Constitution of Republika Srpska, stated PDP President Draško Stanivuković.

He stated that the existing Constitution of RS has undergone more than 120 amendments, 40 of which were imposed by the High Representative, which, according to him, has changed the act compared to its original version.

"Many articles of the Constitution are not aligned with the actual needs of the people of Republika Srpska, and certain provisions have lost their applicability over time. The Constitution must be a living document that reflects the current situation, protects citizens' rights, and ensures institutional stability," Stanivuković stated.

He added that a set of proposals has been prepared which this party will present to the public and institutions, it was announced from PDP.
