NK Podgrmeč sent a letter to the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressing their suspicions that guests from Doboj will have referee assistance, reports the Patria News Agency. Otherwise, Podgrmeč plays in the First League of FBiH.
- Through this, on behalf of NK Podgrmeč, we want to express our dissatisfaction with the latest list of officials appointed to referee the match between our club and Mladost Doboj Kakanj. Nothing on the list would be strange if Sead Merdanović, who was born in Doboj near Kakanj and is a close friend of the visiting club's president Begovac, had not been appointed as the match delegate – the letter states.
It is further stated that for the reasons mentioned above, they have the right to express doubts that the guests will have "assistance" from the officials and that their team, which is fighting fiercely for survival, will be disadvantaged in this match.
- We are already prepared for the worst-case scenario, and we hereby warn you that we do not wish to participate in any manipulations or your refereeing "games." We also inform you that a TV crew and a large number of journalists whom we have invited will be present at the stadium as witnesses – they state in the letter.
