What is the SCC management doing: After firing cleaners, their lockers were broken into and belongings removed

The management of Sarajevo City Center (SCC) after firing 18 cleaners, today broke into their lockers and removed their belongings, writes the BH news agency Patria.

The workers called the police who made a report.

We remind you that the SCC management decided to fire the cleaners for the purpose of cleaning the building and to rent an external company whose workers will take care of almost 70,000 square meters of this center at Marijin Dvor at more favorable prices.

Some of the fired workers said they would seek justice through the courts, and the Trade Union will help them in this.

The management of one of the most beautiful buildings in Sarajevo offered the cleaners a mutual termination of the contract. Several of them agreed to the terms, calculating that their hours at SCC were numbered sooner or later, while more than a dozen workers sought help from lawyers and the Trade Union of Workers in Trade and Services of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

SCC was created after the partner group Al Shiddi Trading Establishment from Riyadh and Al Shiddi International from Sarajevo bought the Bosnian textile and trading company Magros.

However, the Center itself has been accompanied by various controversies since the beginning of its construction, including the fact that the construction site was bought below cost, and former Magros employees were left without their rights.

SCC does not want to comment on the latest developments in the company, writes NAP.
