(Patria) - Slovenian police received information about ten days ago that the criminal group of Dino Muzaferović, known as Cezar, was preparing the liquidation of Satko Kekić, Istraga.ba has learned.
But regardless of that, Kekić was killed in Ljubljana on Friday morning. Behind the murder, according to information from Istraga, is Dino Muzaferović Cezar, who in recent days was illegally staying in the territory of Slovenia.
Dino Muzaferović Cezar and Satko Kekić have been in conflict for years. The animosity was further intensified after a marijuana plantation was discovered in July 2021 near Velika Kladuša, on the very border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, guarded by criminals from Krajina armed with automatic rifles.
"Dead or alive," read the posters that were plastered at several addresses in Ljubljana a few months ago. The posters featured a photograph of Satko Kekić, a Bosnian citizen born in Velika Kladuša, who had been convicted in Bosnia and Herzegovina for drug trafficking.
After seeing the posters, Kekić fled to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He hid for days in the forests between Cazin and Velika Kladuša. Then he returned to Slovenia, where he was killed.
According to information from Istraga, Satko Kekić also reported to the Police Station in Velika Kladuša that Cezar was preparing his murder. This was after Kekić established cooperation with the judicial and police authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to whom he promised to reveal all details about the murder of Eldin Ćerimović, a member of Dino Muzaferović's criminal group, who was killed after telling the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina all the details about the marijuana plantation maintained by this criminal group.
Kekić then boasted to the investigative authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina that he was closely cooperating with the Slovenian police, and that on that basis he had obtained a second identity, i.e., a passport in the name of Satko Zovko. From the Bosnian judiciary, he also demanded money for his information about the murder of witness Ćerimović. However, this deal was never realized.
In recent months, Satko Kekić, i.e., Satko Zovko, came to Velika Kladuša and boasted about his new identity. This information was key for Dino Muzaferović and his group to liquidate him.
Kekić, Istraga has learned, connected in drug dealings with Haris Gredelj, a kickboxer from Prijedor who was convicted for the murder of Nedžad Kličić, known as Rambo from Krajina.
Gredelj and Kekić also took over part of the business that Cezar could not control from hiding, which, as Istraga learns from police sources, is the second motive for this morning's liquidation.
Who is Satko Kekić?
Istraga.ba reported back in 2022 that he was meeting with Dino Muzaferović in Ljubljana, after Cezar fled from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meetings were organized to bring about a reconciliation between these two criminals from Velika Kladuša. But no reconciliation occurred.
By unpacking the Sky application, police agencies obtained correspondence confirming that Dino Muzaferović operated in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia, and that he cooperated with members of the Škaljari clan from Montenegro.
In the Sky application, Muzaferović was addressed by the nicknames Chapo and Šef. "Mrs. Chapo" was the nickname of his common-law wife Špela Kovač, a Slovenian citizen born in 1986 in Kranj.
Part of their group was Nedim Bukva from Sarajevo. It was he who, in Sky communications, addressed Špela Kovač as "Boss Chapo" and Dino Muzaferović as "Cezar Chapo." Part of this group were certain Marija and Petra from Croatia, as well as Zrinka Tomjanović. In Sky correspondence, Bukva writes to Cezar that he will sell his drugs.
Istraga.ba has written for years about Cezar and his group. Thanks to the "oversights" of state prosecutor Džermin Pašić, Dino Muzaferović fled from Bosnia and Herzegovina. You can read about that case by clicking here.
Prosecutor Pašić had information that Muzaferović was also preparing the liquidation of witnesses, but he did nothing. Despite numerous warnings, Eldin Ćerimović was killed in May 2022.
One bullet to the heart, another to the abdomen were enough for Eldin Ćerimović to be dead at the crime scene. He was killed on May 3, 2022, while walking from home to his workplace in Velika Kladuša.
The portal Istraga.ba mentioned him on two occasions, when writing about the criminal group of Dino Muzaferović. Satko Kekić claimed to investigative authorities that he knew everything about this murder. On Friday morning, he was killed in Ljubljana.
