What the silence says about Lučić's lies regarding the ARBiH?

(Patria) - Zdenko Lučić, candidate of the Croatian Five, while appearing on Federal Television two evenings ago, made serious accusations against the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, grossly falsifying the character of the war and the multi-state aggression waged against the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Speaking about the alleged involvement of Dragan Čović in the JNA, given that the aforementioned worked at the Mostar Sokol at a time when JNA aircraft were striking Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lučić simultaneously made a tasteless parallel, declaring the engagement of Željko Komšić through the ARBiH as aggressive, stating that the ARBiH carried out aggression against the HVO and, as he put it, the Croatian people.

The verdicts of the Hague Tribunal for the "Herceg Bosna" six have said everything about the nature of the conflict between the ARBiH and the HVO, so in this text we will not dwell on what is known to all.

What is interesting and important at this moment is the fact that reactions to the furious outburst of a general from an army convicted of a Joint Criminal Enterprise have been absent.

Among the few who reacted was General Vahid Karavelić.

"Zdenko Lučić, by stating that the ARBiH carried out aggression against the Croatian people, shows above all a fundamental ignorance of true history and all events from that time. On one hand, he acts as a complete layman, while on the other, if it is not a product of ignorance, it is a matter of conscious insolence, arrogance, and malice. Such claims stem from deep hatred with the aim of achieving certain political interests," General Karavelić said in a statement to Stav.

That was the first and last reaction; all others that could have been expected were absent, including reactions from numerous associations that have been receiving substantial amounts and funds from the budget for years, all to preserve the achievements and memory of the struggle of ARBiH members.

Neither did Hamdija Abdić Tigar speak out, who recently, charmed by Lučić's eloquence, stated that he would gladly see Lučić in the Presidency of BiH. It would be interesting now, after Lučić's claims that the ARBiH is aggressive, to hear again what Hamdija Abdić, who likes to highlight his truly indisputable merits in the liberation of Croatian cities, has to say about all this - is the ARBiH truly aggressive, and would Zdenko Lučić still be so welcome in the Presidency of BiH.

What is also additionally concerning is the attitude of Sarajevo media towards Lučić's slander of the ARBiH.

Most media did not address the matter at all, and the host of the Federal Television show followed Lučić's slanders with pleasant smiles, as if conducting some kind of entertainment interview with a Hollywood star. Other media that noticed Lučić's statement reported it without any reservations or necessary remarks.

Lučić, of course, continued his defamation of the ARBiH, so on his Facebook profile, alongside Karavelić's reaction, he posted an image suggesting that the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a terrorist army.
