What the new Declaration brings: DF to call for the unification of the left at today's Congress

If the DF Congress adopts the Declaration on the unification of the left today, a strong fight for political and economic progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina will ensue, they are sure in Željko Komšić's Democratic Front, noting that there is no reason why something like that shouldn't happen, writes the news agency Patria.

The party delegates, 420 of them from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, will elect - at the first party Congress which started this morning in Sarajevo - the party president (Željko Komšić is the only candidate), then the Main Board of the party as well as the Supervisory Board of the DF.

And, the delegates will be offered the Declaration "United Left for a United Bosnia and Herzegovina".

With this six-point Declaration, the DF wants to initiate the process of gathering the left into a unified front. It will be, they say, a front that will fight for a just Bosnia and Herzegovina, new jobs in the next six years, quality education and healthcare, economic progress and security, the rule of law, and a crackdown on political corruption, as well as efforts to bring the country into NATO and the EU, writes Patria.
