What Bakir, Dragan and Mladen need to learn from Kolinda

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, since being elected president, has used every opportunity to mingle with the citizens of her homeland, chat with them, extend her hand, listen to their problems, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

One might say, a good marketing move. But should we look for hidden meaning in everything Kolinda does?

How can anything insincere be found in her meeting with the Croatian basketball players, whom she received yesterday to greet and encourage them before the start of the European Basketball Championship, and with whom she took a selfie photo?

The day after, Kolinda was in the stands of the Zagreb Arena. Cheering on the team in the match against Slovenia.

And again, Kolinda succeeded. She sparked positive comments, showed how she supports athletes and how the state should and must take care of those who sincerely defend the colors of Croatia.

But let's return to BiH. Could we see such a scene at a sports field here? However, harsh reality erases that thought. At least for now.

The Basketball Association once again went to the EuroBasket with "short sleeves," so one can only hope that "the money won't run out," and it is clear that we have not moved from square one, nor have the golden cadets been a lesson to anyone.

While those who have learned to save the national team countless times think about that, I wonder if (ever) Bakir, Dragan or Mladen will be in the stands cheering wholeheartedly for the blue-and-yellows or taking selfies with athletes?

Will they ever learn anything from our neighbors, or will they only be kings after the battle?

We await an answer. Perhaps tomorrow at Bilino Polje. Who knows?
