BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Srećko Trifković, who is linked to the murder of Damir Ostojić, known as Šijan, in September 2018 in Banja Luka, was remanded in custody for one month following yesterday's hearing that was closed to the public, his lawyer Tatjana Savić confirmed for the Patria News Agency.
She could not comment on the details of the hearing held at the District Court of Banja Luka, nor on the exact qualification of the crime and what her client is accused of.
Trifković was arrested after being released from the Zenica Penitentiary on Wednesday, July 24, where he was in custody for his alleged involvement in the murder of two Sarajevo police officers, Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović, in October 2018 in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Alipašino Polje. Trifković was arrested in late October and his custody was extended until July of this year. The Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office has not yet filed an indictment for the murder of the police officers, nor is it known what stage the investigation is in.
On the other hand, the investigation into the murder of Ostojić and the attempted murder of his wife Sandra Jošić is still ongoing. Ostojić and Jošić were shot in their car, and Ostojić died at the scene from his injuries, while Jošić sustained severe bodily injuries.
