The Central Election Commission of BiH will consider the Report on the verification of candidate lists for the election of delegates from the Sarajevo Canton Assembly to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament at today's session, writes the Patria News Agency.
The candidate lists from the Sarajevo Canton Assembly were submitted to the CEC yesterday afternoon for verification and certification.
As Patria has already reported, the certification of the candidacy of BOSS party representative Haris Pleha is questionable. In the 2012 local elections, he declared himself as "other", while in this year's general elections, he chose to declare himself as Serb by nationality, in order to automatically enter the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament as a delegate from the Sarajevo Canton Assembly.
Given that the certification of candidacies for several representatives who, like Pleha, changed their nationality has already been rejected, according to Patria's information, the same will happen in his case. Instead of Pleha, the delegate from the Sarajevo Canton Assembly in the Serb Club of the House of Peoples of the FBiH will be the Democratic Front candidate Srđan Sužnjević.
So far, the CEC has completed the process of certifying candidate lists for five cantons, where election results for the House of Peoples have been determined: Canton 10, Posavina, Central Bosnia, Herzegovina-Neretva, and West Herzegovina.
For the remaining four cantons, the lists have been certified, and it remains for them to elect delegates to the House of Peoples in their respective assemblies, which will also follow for the Sarajevo Canton Assembly once the CEC certifies its candidate lists.
