(Patria) - In the past two days, the Service for Foreigners' Affairs forcibly removed three persons from Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of whom had previously been convicted of a criminal offense under Article 179, paragraphs (1) and Article 206 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The remaining two persons were of security interest.
The persons who were forcibly returned to their countries of origin were under supervision at the Immigration Center of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs prior to their removal. The process of forcible removal was financed by funds from the European Commission through a special purpose project, and was carried out via a commercial flight from Sarajevo International Airport. Accompanied by security and escort officers and with adequate safety measures, the persons were handed over to the competent authorities in their countries of origin.
The Service for Foreigners' Affairs will continue to cooperate with other law enforcement agencies to strengthen cooperation and identify persons who violate legal regulations. Additionally, the Service will continue to take measures within its competence to further enhance the safety and protection of citizens.
