SPS and MUP KS found 35 individuals illegally residing in private accommodation, 100 travel documents seized

(Patria) - Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, conducted operational activities on the evening of October 30, 2025, aimed at controlling the movement and stay of foreigners in the municipality of Novi Grad, Sarajevo.

During the operation, 35 individuals were found illegally residing in a private facility at the controlled location. These individuals are citizens of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ghana, and Afghanistan.

Following the activities, the individuals were transferred to the Temporary Reception Centers Blažuj and Ušivak, where their identification and registration were carried out, and all necessary conditions for their stay were provided. Approximately 100 travel documents and identification documents were found during the inspection, including documents belonging to citizens of Bangladesh, Nepal, India, and other countries.

The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) was informed about the incident and will undertake further measures and actions within its jurisdiction.

The Service for Foreigners' Affairs will continue to conduct operational activities in the future with the aim of controlling illegal stay of foreigners in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
