Within the operational action "Mimoza III 2015" aimed at preventing the smuggling of goods across the state border, members of the Border Police Unit for Support and Control of the Northeast Bijeljina Field Office, in cooperation with officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, prevented the illegal trade of a larger quantity of fruit without the necessary import documentation, reports the Patria News Agency.
The goods were discovered during a border check of a van with BiH license plates in the border area of Bijeljina. The vehicle was driven by M.LJ. (1948), a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The discovered goods, weighing 3,116 kilograms, were temporarily seized and handed over to the ITA BiH for further proceedings, the BiH Border Police announced.
