Athletes, politicians, cultural figures united: BiH citizens need a victory in this bleakness

Ahead of tonight's match between our Dragons and Ireland, we asked public figures to predict the result. Here's what they told the Patria news agency.

State representative Šemsudin Mehmedović says BiH needs a victory.

- Not just for the qualifications, but for the citizens of BiH, so that there is a little more hope and joy for all of us in this bleakness. That's why we need a victory to restore our pride and self-confidence. BiH wins with a score of 2:1, says Mehmedović.

Vlatko Glavaš, advisor to the Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH, says that the most important thing is not to concede a goal.

The expected result is 1:0 for BiH, says Glavaš, who is also a former coach of the BiH national team. Knowing his expertise, there is no doubt that this former BiH international will be right.

Nihad Turčinović, better known as BiH's Manolo, said that his heart tells him one thing, and his head tells him another. Nevertheless, he predicted the result from his heart - 3:0 for the Dragons, and also shared the rational one from his head.

- The Irish do not concede many goals, but they also do not score many. They conceded only seven in 10 matches, and scored 19 in the qualifiers. I hope they score three tonight - emphasized Turčinović.

Amira Sirotanović, one of the best BiH female volleyball players and a member of the Jedinstvo Brčko team, predicted a victory for the Dragons with a score of 3:1.

Her opinion is shared by the Member of the House of Representatives of BiH, Senad Šepić.

- BiH will celebrate with a score of 3:1 - Šepić is categorical.

Federal representative Damir Mašić believes in the Dragons' victory. He predicts a score of 2:0 for tonight.

For the Director of Drama at the National Theatre Sarajevo, Mirvad Kurić, there is no dilemma.

- We are better than the Irish. We will definitely win 2:1, says Kurić.

FKN Professor Goran Kovačević will be satisfied even with a minimal victory.

- Let it be 1:0 for the Dragons, that is quite enough before the second leg in Dublin - says Kovačević.

Muhamed Bikić, a well-known sports journalist, said in his prediction that the Dragons will beat the Irish with a score of 2:0.

- That's just right, neither too little nor too much. The only important thing is that we go to the Euro - says Bikić.
